        <description>During my XYRGB analog vector display experiments, I unexpectedly encountered this curious perpetual zoom, somewhat reminiscent of what the Shepard tone does in audio (later I found out how to control the speed of the apparent zoom and have it reverse direction). Effects like these have been around: I have seen similar things (and a lot more) in some of Ken Jacobs' work. Made with fast and slow analog electronic computing modules and some Tektronix signal generators. Part of the experiments leading up to my film "Mechanisms Common to Disparate Phenomena; #59".</description>
